INTERVIEW QUESTIONS TESTING - BASICS TESTING BASICS DETAILS

Question: I am new to the testing field and would like to know the best way of carrying out User Acceptance Testing.
I have the process document with high level process flow diagrams and test scenarios and test cases.
So how do i go about writing the scripts. I believe that I would need to gain more low level details by asking the business users. So what questions do i ask? Then what do i do?

Answer: User Acceptance Testing, Generally we think it is done by user. But we have a wrong perception about UAT. There are different ways in which we conduct UAT. Out of which there are two ways 1) Inhouse Testing it on the production database (replica of the clients live data base) 2) Conducting the test on the Pilot site or location of client where the volume of the transaction or data is low and at the same time maximum functionality can be tested.

But the most important point to what to test in UAT?

To answer the above question, It is my suggestion to mention UAT criterias or scenarios in the SRS and BRS documents. It needs to be reviewed by the customer and approved by them. If there is no UAT criteria mentioned in SRS document then we need to consider those scenarios which are having base functionality, with out which the application delivered to the client is meaningless
