Software testing lifecycle comprises of the followings in sequence:
1. Reuirements understanding / Clarification 2. Use Case writing / understanding 3. Test Strategy 4. Test Case writing 5. Getting the test cases reviewed by Business Analysts / Developers 6. Start actual testing 7. Report issues 8. Follow up with Business Analysts /Management - on if a particular issue needs to be fixed. 9. Defer issues to next release if not so high Priority ones 10. Close issues after getting fixed, if appropriate 11. Regression testing 12. Sign - off from Testing Team in testing environment 13. Deployment / Turn - Over / Pre-Prod testing
