Police Officers Interview Questions & Answers

A police officer (also known as a policeman or police agent in some forces, particularly in the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth nations) is a warranted law employee of a police force. In the United States, "officer" usually is the formal name of the lowest police rank. A police officer's job is to protect the public, make sure people obey the law and make people feel safe. Not all police officers wear a uniform and patrol. Some police officers have specialist jobs, such as being a detective, a traffic officer or a dog handler.

Hypothetical Situations
Raising hypothetical situations and asking how a candidate would respond is designed to measure a candidate's integrity, judgment and decision making ability. These qualities are essential for being a successful police officer. For example, candidates might be asked how they would respond to seeing a coworker pocket money during a drug search, and what sorts of actions they might take.
