    if we count alphabets from the end i.e z=1,y=2.....n=12,m=13.....e=21.
    according to given prblm
    m=13+3=16,e=21+3=24,n=12+3=15
    me=m+e=16+24=40
    men=m+e+n=16+24+15=55

    Given M=16,M+E=40 So E=40-16=24.....
    consider z=1, y=2,....e=22
    Actual 'E' from last is 22 but calculated E=24, so (22+2)=24
    Actual M=13, given M=16, so (13+3). We know that M=13, So N=14. so
    (13+3)=16
    (22+2)=24
    (14+1)=15....Keep decrementing one number and add with intermediate result. By adding we get 16+24+15=55.

    You both are wrong... LOL

    Let z=1,y=2.....n=13,m=14.....e=22.
    now add 2 to each letter.
    M=14 + 2 =16
    E=22 + 2 =24
    ME=16+24 =40
    N=13 + 2 =15
    MEN=16+24+15=55
