in new technology many prosessors supports on the same socket {celeron, pentium}etc. so thatthe rom chip in the A is used to tel the I/o chip that what is the voltage required by the processor to get on and then the i/o chip give instruction to VRM ic to prepare the voltage for the processor to get on
