1 4 3 16 6 36 7 64 9 100

like in this ..
from starting add 1 then square of that no. you will get next no.

for example

1+1=2 ==> 4
3+1=4 ==> 16
5+1=6 ==> 36 (Here Wrong it should be 5 not 6)
7+1=8 ==> 64
9+1=10 ==> 100

Then Correct answer is 6 .Not fit in this series Source: CoolInterview.com

In a given series 1 4 3 16 6 36 7 64 9 100. 4 16 36 64 100 are the square of the 2 4 6 8 10 respectively.

but u can see that 4 is the square of (1+1) means square of previous number +1 .
In similar way 16 is the square of (3+1) And in similar way 36 should be square of (5+1)... so that number before 36 should be 5 But it is 6.
So that number 6 in the series does not fit

Please let me know if u didnot get my point. Source: CoolInterview.com

(1+3)*1=4=(2*2)
(3+5)*2=16=(4*4)
(5+7)*3=36=(6*6)
(7+9)*4=64=(8*8)
(9+11)*5=100=(10*10)
