There are three types of applications:

*Mobile cellular phone and public switched telephone system(PSTS).
*Mobile cellular phone and headset.
*Mobile cellular phone and computer

1.As the range of bluetooth is more i.e 8m its a better option compare to infrared

2.Security is there in bluetooth i.e you can reject the unauthorized access.

3.More bandwidth i.e quicker transfer.

4.Time save
